Former Super Eagles skipper, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, has said the English Premier League club that copes best with losing its players next year, will win the title.
Some clubs will be without their African stars in January and February 2022.
This is the period the Africa Cup of Nations will be played in Cameroon.
Okocha believes that Liverpool for instance, have a big squad to cope with the absence of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Salah has been key to the Reds’ fine start to the season with 15 goals and seven assists in just 15 matches.
“Well, I think you can always put that into consideration, but I think they have a big squad.
“They must have done their homework, putting the Africa Nations Cup into consideration.
“And then South American Cups comes up in the summer, which deprives some players of their holidays.
“I think it’s all about how you manage your squad and whoever manages better in January, I think, stands a very good chance of winning the title,” Okocha told Ally McCoist and Gabriel Agbonlahor on their Talksport breakfast program.
