EPL: I’ve had dinner with him – Solskjaer reacts after Conte joined Spurs instead of Man United


Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reacted to Antonio Conte’s move to Tottenham.

Solskjaer noted that he had met Conte ones when both men had a dinner with Man United icon, Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Norwegian said the Italian will ‘bring a lot’ to Tottenham after the former Chelsea boss replaced Nuno Espirito Santo as Spurs manager.

Nuno was dismissed by Spurs after only four months in charge and the Premier League side appointed Conte as the Portuguese’s replacement.

Conte won the Premier League and FA Cup at Stamford Bridge and the Serie A title with Inter last season.

Before joining Tottenham, Conte was heavily linked with a move to replace Solskjaer at Manchester United.

The English press asked Solskjaer about Conte’s arrival ahead Atalanta clash, and he said, “He will bring a lot to Tottenham.

“Antonio Conte has already shown that he is a winning coach. The last time I met him was in England during a dinner with [Sir Alex] Ferguson.”
