Chelsea star, Billy Gilmour, has joined Premier League rivals, Norwich City on loan.
Chelsea made the announcement in a statement via their website on Friday.
The statement partly read, “Billy Gilmour will spend the 2021/22 season on loan in the Premier League with Norwich City.
“The 20-year-old midfielder has shown himself to be one of the most promising young players in British football over the past two seasons and will now continue his development by gaining more first-team experience in the top flight with newly promoted Norwich.”
Gilmour joined the Chelsea Academy from Rangers in the summer of 2017.
The Scotland international has made 22 senior appearances for Chelsea since his debut as a substitute in a 2-2 league draw against Sheffield United in August 2019.
He enjoyed a fabulous end to last season under manager Thomas Tuchel.
He also delivered another remarkable display in his country’s goalless draw against England in the Euro 2020 last month.
