Nigeria head coach, Gernot Rohr, has insisted that the Super Eagles are a team without any home at the moment.
Rohr said this during his pre-match press conference on Monday ahead of Nigeria’s 2021 AFCON qualifier against Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos State on Tuesday evening.
Rohr’s men head to the game following a 1-0 victory against the Benin Republic last weekend.
Speaking on playing in Lagos, Rohr told reporters: “The first thing is that the [Lagos] pitch is okay but it needs to be watered tomorrow [Tuesday] because it is very dry.
“The first time? We are a team without any home for the moment. We have gone to Asaba, Benin City, Uyo, we go to Lagos now and perhaps to Abuja the next time I don’t know.
“What we have to do is to adapt on each pitch, they are professionals, they know that in Africa it is not exactly the same conditions to play, they have a little bit of experience.
“What is counting now is a good match to finish the qualifiers.”
Nigeria won Lesotho 4-2 in the reverse fixture in November 2019.
The kick-off time for Nigeria vs Lesotho match is 5 pm.
