A pair of teenage girls, ages 13 and 15, are facing murder charges after a botched carjacking led to the death of a 66-year-old #UberEats driver in Washington D.C.
Mohammad Anwar, of Springfield, Virginia, has been described by his family as a hardworking Pakistani immigrant grandfather. Police say he was killed in a crash in which he clinged onto his vehicle as it was being stolen by the teen girls, who have not been identified because they are minors.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the girls allegedly used a stun gun on the driver, causing him to crash his car, @nbcnews reports. When responders arrived at the scene, about a block from Nationals Park, they found Anwar suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
